Important Announcements
Please remind your child to bring a water bottle to school. We have water bottle fillers, but the water fountains are turned off.
ELA
We have had a short, but busy week reviewing metaphor, main idea, and context clues. Students have enjoyed playing Kahoot and Quizlet Live to practice our unit objectives. We are excited to be starting up our expository writing unit on Monday.

Writing: Gather relevant information from multiple print and digital sources; assess the credibility of each source; and quote or paraphrase the data and conclusions of others while avoiding plagiarism and providing basic bibliographic information for sources.

Week at a Glance:
Students will be given the opportunity to work toward a retake for Unit 1: Scale Drawings after making test corrections and showing new learning. Students should be preparing for a retake before October 9th.
This week, students will being working on Unit 2: Proportional Relationships from our Open Up Resources Tasks. We will begin by reviewing what a proportional relationship is and how to use a ratio table. Important vocabulary words and sample problems are available in the Family Newsletter from Open Up Resources.
Students will continue using Edmentum ExactPath during math small group time. Please check out this resource for more about Edmentum.
