Dear Preschool Families,

November will be a busy month at the Early Learning Center. Here are some key things to note:

  • Picture makeups and retakes will happen on Wednesday, November 10th. If you need a picture envelope, please reach out to your classroom teacher.
  • November 12th we will host a parent participation event during the morning at the ELC. Please RSVP here before the end of the day on Friday!
  • See the note about parent teacher conference below.

As the Thanksgiving holiday is fast approaching, this is the perfect time to pause and reflect on all the incredible things we are thankful for in our program. First and foremost, we are grateful for the trust you put into our staff on a daily basis. We are truly privileged to work with such remarkable and extraordinary students. We are so thankful for the incredible support you give your children and our schools.

I am also thankful for our remarkable staff –the individuals who greet our children each morning and get them safely to school, the teachers who work tirelessly to build lasting relationships with students while providing a high quality education, and everyone in between.

Thank you all for your continued partnership and support!

Sincerely,

Barb Golik

Principal

Parent Teacher Conferences

Parent-teacher conferences are quickly approaching. You should have received an email from the school district informing you of the process for registering for either a remote or in-person conference. We wanted to reach out and inform our parents that due to COVID safety measures, we are limiting the number of people permitted in the building during parent-teacher conferences. Please know that if you are choosing to have an in-person conference, you may only bring one other person with you. In other words, only two members of a family may enter the building to attend a conference. In addition, please remember that anyone entering the school, must wear a facemask. We hope you keep this in mind as you schedule your conference. We hope you understand that we are setting these limits for safety reasons. Please call the office if you have any questions.

Conferences are being offered virtually or in-person

  • Thursday, November 11 & Wednesday, November 17 5 - 8 p.m.
  • Friday, November 19 8 - 11 a.m. / 12 - 3 p.m. No school for students.

Sign up for your child's conference(s) at any school using our conference portal:

Meet the Teacher

Deadline November 18. If you would like to meet in-person, when booking appointments use Manual Booking Mode and enter "in-person" in the "Add Message for Teacher?" comment box. Need help? Review the Parents' Guide for Booking Appointments / Guía de reserva de citas para padres.

Greetings from the Imagination Station!

My name is Mrs. Christine Douglass and I am the Library Clerk for the Imagination Station or as I love to call it our beautiful new library. This week your child started checking out a book. One book will come home every week! Books must come back to school each week in order for students to check out a new book the following week. If a book is not returned, your child will not be able to get a new one the following week. Some things to remember to keep the books looking new:

  • Make sure your hands are clean.
  • Do not eat or drink while you read the book.
  • Put a note in the book if there is any damage so that we can repair or clean it right away.

We hope you enjoy reading these new books with your child!

Thank you,

Mrs. Douglass
