Hello Missouri Retired Principals
How about reconnecting at the Spring Conference Mar. 31? VIP
Hello Retired Missouri Principal,
As Bob Howe (Retired MoASSP Executive Director) recently stated, "I have been tired of winter since October." I think most of us can agree. On an optimistic note, we are one day closer to spring. Phil Lewis (Retired MoASSP Executive Director) and I were emailing on Tuesday. He said he was walking the beach on Monday wearing a Chiefs t-shirt. I left a voice message with Dave Backer (Retired MoASSP Program Director) yesterday. He was on the golf course enjoying a spring-like day. I did listen to a spring training Cardinal broadcast from our home in Columbia the other day, and that helped me warm up just a bit.
We are making plans for another great Spring Conference at the Lodge of Four Seasons, March 30-April 2. We would welcome you back for this annual trek to Lake of the Ozarks.
We have put together a fun panel of legendary MoASSP icons. Bob Howe, Phil Lewis, Dave Backer, and Neal Penberthy have agreed to share stories and words of wisdom in a panel discussion during the Spring Conference. How about joining us once again for that thick, juicy, tasty, grilled Jostens steak dinner Sunday evening? Play a round of golf, socialize with former colleagues, have reserved seating for retired principals at each meal, and Sunday and Monday night networking receptions. All at a location that will help us usher in spring.
We have a special rate for our retired principals at $99 which includes four meals. Click here to take you to the Events page on the MoASSP website for more information and to register.
Thanks again for your service and leading Missouri schools and hope you are enjoying a well-deserved retirement. MoASSP continues to be one of the most active secondary principal associations in the country. Please help us pass the word to colleagues around the state who are no longer employed full-time in education and encourage them to reconnect with MoASSP.
Value-Added Benefits
We have a few exciting new opportunities that might entice our retired colleagues to join MoASSP once again. Benefits, such as discount dining, travel, and supplemental insurance at special group rates along with numerous merchant discounts are provided to MoASSP members, spouses, and dependents. These benefits will also be available to retired administrators who have a retired membership or lifetime retired membership. For more information, call 573-445-5071.
Sub-Principals
From time to time, we receive phone calls from central office administrators asking for sub principals. If you are interested in being a sub-principal, let us know. You can email Katy or call the office at 573-445-5071.
Please feel free to share this email with your retired colleagues. I have included a membership link below. If you are in Columbia, feel free to drop by the office. You can find our contact information below. "MoASSP continues to need you." We hope to see you at the Spring Conference.
Respectfully,
Clark Mershon
