Francis Crick and James Watson

Two important scientist.

Biography of Crick and Watson.

Francis Crick was born in 1916 and died in 2004 and James Watson was born in 1928. Francis and James published Molecular Structure of Nucleic Acids: A Structure for Deoxyribose Nucleic Acid. They had an article that impacted biology which was that DNA transmisson was going to be more difficult to deduce and understand. Both Francis and James had mad a model of DNA which help us understand genetics better. It was the first publication that described the newly discovered double helix.

Facts

Francis was born between Abington Park and Weston Favell. Francis had also help with World War 2 by inventing the radar. Francis was recognized as the co founder of the DNA of the DNA molecule. He played a crucial role when it came to reveling the genetic code. Francis died of colon cancer on 28 July 2004.

Contributions

Francis and James had made a model of a DNA molecule which help us understand biology better. It shows us the health of families which makes it an icon.

Contreversy

Although crick and Watson were the first ones to put together all the data to make a DNA model they had used other information by other researchers. In 1969 Watson published an autobiographical account about the double helix which was not publicly accepted by Crick or Wilkins.
