Warner Update
March 13th - March 18th
St. Patrick's Day on the Horizon
A few years ago (and in some ways intermittently now) we shared our school story very well. I know this because I would see people after school that would say, " I saw..." or "I heard...".
I know we promoted the great things happening at Warner pretty well. Somewhere along the line we/I got a bit complacent. We've shared with families, but we haven't put our story out to the community. You may be thinking, why is that important? I encourage you to check out this article titled, The ABC's of Community Engagement by my good friend Joe Sanfelippo. I believe you will quickly see that connecting with our community is important.
Our community cares about our school. That level of commitment and caring will only increase as we share the wonderful things happening at Warner. I hope you'll find time to spread the positive message.
Some ideas for sharing would be:
- Classroom FaceBook pages
- Instagram
- Twitter
- SeeSaw (increase the share to grandparents?)
- Invite in the County Press for a school/community project
Promoting your classroom and our school is good for the entire community and district.
Here's to spreading the word next week and beyond!
