Principal's Message
I raise my hands to those family members who were able to join us for our first parent/community breakfast. In the future we will be having a community breakfast on the first Monday morning of every month, pending any water main failuresβ¦..
We were very grateful as well for your support in having your students participate in remote learning. It is not an ideal way to learn, but it was all of our best efforts to come together and try.
We had such an amazing start to the school year and want to ask that you all encourage your students to arrive on time and as often as possible.
Thank you,
Dr. Nathan D Plummer

Meet our Staff
Christie Ryba-Johnson
My name is Christie Ryba-Johnson and I've been a teacher here in the Marysville school district for 9 years. I have taught 5th grade for the last five years and was at Quil Ceda Elementary in the ACT program before that. I went to Western Washington University for my teaching certificate University of Phoenix for my Bachelor's of psychology. In real life, I was a chef for about 10 years and a baker at Smashed Tomatoes Italian Restaurant. I like to go fishing and camping and spend time outdoors. I love baseball, football, and basketball. I like to watch sports, not so much as play sports unless it's like bowling for something. I recently started watching hockey and got really into the Kraken last year so I'm excited for that season to start. This is my first year teaching high school and I am really excited and blessed to be able to watch my first-year group of students graduate high school together and not just go to graduation, but actually get to be a part of their educational journey again as they are Seniors and Juniors this year. I am teaching Empirical Reasoning as well as Advisory 101. I am a Pacific Northwest Clean Energy Fellow and with that grant, I run after-school programs about renewable energy. Mostly wind energy, but also solar and hydro. I was able to take a team of students last year to a National Wind competition in Boulder, Co, and the year before I took two teams to Sab Antonio, TX. I hope to take two teams again this year to the Kidwind Nationals in Minneapolis
