Lenten Prayer for Ash Wednesday
Today we begin a special time called Lent. It's a time when we get ready for Easter by praying, being kind to others, and giving up things that might distract us from God.
Dear God,
As we put ashes on our foreheads, we remember that we are loved by you, and that we want to be better people by being kind and helpful to others.
Help us to be like Jesus, who showed us how to love one another and how to be patient and forgiving.
We ask you to give us strength during these next forty days of Lent so that we can grow closer to you and become better people.
Thank you for loving us always.
Amen.
Message from the Principal
Dear Parents and Carers
P&F Sundowner and Parent/Carer Meet and Greet
They say a picture speaks a thousand words and the pictures of the children playing happily in the foam and eating ice-cream at our annual P&F Sundowner and Parent/Carer Meet and Greet certainly told a story of joy and community.
A huge thank you must be extended to the P&F for putting on this wonderful friend-raiser event. Thank you to all those parents/carers who managed to visit classrooms to meet the teacher. Our partnership with you, is very important to us and it was lovely for our teachers to meet you and to begin the journey of working together to nurture, inspire and educate your children so that they can flourish. If you did not get an opportunity to meet the teacher, please pop in to say hello at any other convenient time to you both.
Important Survey
It is important for us to receive feedback from our community. Each year we run a survey called the ‘Tell Them From Me’ survey. Your responses will provide us with the opportunity to celebrate what we are doing well and identify areas for improvement.

Ash Wednesday
Today Father Sam distributed Ashes at our Ash Wednesday liturgy lead by our Year 6 students. Pope Francis reminds us that as we enter this season of Lent, we can commit to the following fasting:
- Fast from hurting words and say kind words
- Fast from sadness and be filled with gratitude
- Fast from anger and be filled with patience
- Fast from pessimism and be filled with hope
- Fast from worries and have trust in God
- Fast from complaint; contemplate simplicity
- Fast from pressures and be prayerful
- Fast from bitterness, fill your hearts with joy
- Fast from selfishness and be compassionate
- Fast from grudges and be reconciled
- Fast from words, be silent and listen
God Bless you all.
