Dear Hollydale Families,
Let me start by thanking each and every family for your support, patience and flexibility during the transition to Hybrid in-person learning. Since April 1, kindergarten and first grade students have attended classes on-site. I have been impressed with each student's ability to follow the new safety protocols. We could not have done this without your support in the days leading up to returning to the building.
On Thursday, April 8, 2nd - 5th grade students – COHORT B, Hybrid Instruction will start at 12:05pm. Students should not arrive before 12:05pm. Dismissal is at 2:35pm. Please review the Arrival and Dismissal video here. If your child's end of day transportation changes, please contact Mrs. Eki at 503-661-6226 before 2pm.
Monday, April 12, 2nd - 5th grade students – COHORT A, Hybrid instruction will start at 12:05pm.
All students continue to participate in their Comprehensive Distance Learning weekdays from 8:30-11am. Students participating in eGBSD will continue to access their instruction online from 8:30am-11am and afternoons, 12:05pm-2:35pm. If you or your student is having any difficulty accessing their distance learning, please email their teacher.

I would also like to give a shout-out to all of the teachers and support staff for their dedication, enthusiasm, and countless hours of planning and preparing for our students in both the eGBSD model and the Hybrid Model.
And finally, you may have noticed our newsletter has a new look. Beginning this week we are introducing the new Hollydale Highlights Newsletter. This new digital newsletter will replace the previous PDF format and can be accessed on all devices with easier readability.

A NOTE FROM THE OFFICE
Students should not arrive to school before 12:05pm. There will not be supervision on the playground or in front of the school before 12:05pm. Thank you for your understanding.
Office Hours - 8am - 3:30pm
The office is open weekdays between 8am - 3:30pm for in-person pick-ups. Phone office hours are 8am - 4pm. If we are unable to answer your call, please leave us a voice- mail and we will return your call as soon as we are able. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
End of Day Transportation Changes
Please call the office at 503-661-6226 no later than 2pm if you need to change your child's end of day transportation.

As the school district is transitioning to in-person learning, it is important the office has your current contact information as well as up-to-date emergency contacts. Please take a moment to check your phone number, email, and emergency contacts in ParentVue and make updates as necessary. Click here to access your ParentVue account.
Media Exclusion Notice
As students are returning to the building we will be taking photos for use on our website, newsletter and social media accounts. If you DO NOT wish for your child's photo to be used online, please email Mrs. Eki, elementary secretary, at eki6@gresham.k12.or.us
Kindergarten Registration
Will your child be 5 on or before Sept. 1st, 2021? If yes, register now. To register your student for Kindergarten, visit the Gresham-Barlow School District Website, select the “Parents” tab, and click on “Online Registration.” This webpage has information about the registration process, a link to get started, additional forms for each school, and answers to frequently asked questions. 7-DAY MEAL BOXES DISTRIBUTION WEDNESDAYS
With the Gresham-Barlow School District implementing a Hybrid Instructional Model, the daily meal service has been discontinued.
In its place, beginning April 7 and continuing every Wednesday, the Nutrition Services Department will be offering 7-day Meal Box Kits FREE to children ages 1-18. These kits will be delivered by school bus and families can also pick up the kits through evening curbside pickup at select schools.
- Bus Routes, 3, 10, 15 will continue to deliver meals mid-day.
- Curbside Pickup at Hollydale from 4-6pm. (NOTE - this is a new time, replacing the previous 11am-12:30pm distribution time)
To participate, each household will need to fill out an online form. A confirmation email will be sent once you have submitted this form. If you don't receive a confirmation email please contact the Nutrition Services Department at 503-261-4594.

Prescription Medications During Hybrid 12:05-2:35pm
If your child will need to take prescription medication during Hybrid school hours: 12:05pm - 2:35pm please contact Julie Melton, Health Assistant at 503-661-6226 ext. 2285 or email melton10@gresham.k12.or.us to set up an appointment to drop off medication and fill out the required paperwork.
Sun Community School
We will be distributing activity kits to students in grades 1-5. Please click the following link (Spanish/English) to complete the sign up for a kit. **You must register for a kit, in order to receive one!

THERE ARE A LIMITED AMOUNT OF KITS, PLEASE REGISTER AS SOON AS POSSIBLE! There will be art, STEM, cooking, self-care, outdoor and cultural activities for the student and their family. This is a supplemental and optional program, which will be offered for after school hours.
