Principal's Message

Dear Ride Families,

I spoke to the staff this week about Finding the Silver Lining. So I wanted to share a few highlights with you. This year many of us have a new appreciation for life's simpler joys.

Our school year (and your home); before, we were so busy with extra activities and programs. (and for home;) going, participating, shopping, buying, etc.... We really enjoyed all of the experiences, but we never really knew the contentment we had right here in front of us. Spending more quality time with the children is so enjoyable. -- Getting to know each one a little better helps us teach them much better as well. And with the bonus of seeing and experiencing each child grow more each day.

Finding the silver lining is a simple message; like, happiness is found at home/school and from within.

Our Silver Lining (at school) is spending more quality time with your child! What is yours?

* Always believe something wonderful is about to happen.

Megan Burnham

COVID Tracing

As the Holiday season approaches, there will likely be many opportunities for students to gather outside of school with friends and loved ones. During this time, please express to your child the importance of taking precautions to slow the spread of COVID-19 by wearing masks, frequently washing hands, and social distancing. We all must work together as partners to balance the need for social interaction and celebration with keeping our schools open to in-person learning. Our partnership is critical in order to keep students and staff safe and in school throughout the holiday season. Should your child test positive for COVID-19 over the Thanksgiving Break, we ask that you email your child’s campus at contactride@conroeisd.net so we can provide the appropriate support and make the required notifications. Thank you.

With the colder weather here, PLEASE LABEL YOUR CHILDREN'S CLOTHING, including jackets! We DO NOT have a Lost & Found area out of the abundance of safety. However, each grade level is keeping coats found in thier hallway or during thier recess time. Please contact your teacher if you have a lost coat. She will probably be the best person to help you.

Arrival to School Reminders

Our school bell rings at 8:00 a.m. Please plan accordingly to have your children here on time to avoid tardies. On rainy days, we may delay the actual tardy time until the line calms down; however, we ask that you plan extra time as the carline does move slower.
