The Cougar Chronicle

Mrs. Sirois's Newsletter - August 2019

Welcome back!!!

I am excited to start my 17th year of teaching at Central Noble! This summer, I attended Smeckens Literacy Retreat in June, Project-Based Learning training in July, and PBL101 training in August. I have reimagined my classroom, utilizing flexible seating, and researched Jennifer Serravallo's reading strategies to implement in all of my classes. It is a work in progress, but let me just say that I am FIRED UP and ready to make this a FANTASTIC year of learning!!

Each month, I will email The Cougar Chronicle newsletter to students and their families. I am also on Twitter @CNSirois for more frequent updates.

HELP!! If you are able to help out, these are the items we need the most:

  • Kleenex (I usually go through 20-30 boxes a school year)
  • Personal care items for the Cougar Closet to help students in need (deodorant, shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, toothbrushes, feminine items, new pairs of socks, etc.). If you know of students who need clothing or personal care items, please have them contact me, Mrs. Yoder, or anyone in the office. We will set up private shopping times for students, and there is no charge for the items. More information on the Cougar Closet is coming in next month's newsletter.
