Message from East Hill School Principal
Dear East Hill Families,
We had a fantastic first week of school at East Hill! Students worked on learning the routines of school and their classrooms while making new friends.
I want to thank all of our East Hill families for your continued support and patience as we worked through the beginning of the year transportation bumps. Our buses are arriving earlier each day and in the event of a delay I will continue to send a message with the bus number(s). Our first priority is getting our Wildcats to and from school safely. We work closely with our wonderful drivers and transportation department to ensure the best experience possible.
Thank you to our PTA for the delicious and fun EH Ice Cream Social that took place on Thursday evening!
We are looking forward to seeing our parents/guardians on Tuesday evening at our EH Curriculum Night (please see the detailed schedule below).
Sincerely,
Susan Meskos

Positivity Project
Bus Drills
All students who arrive on the bus will be going through bus safety drills next week upon arrival. Our bus drivers will review bus safety procedures and expectations followed by emergency protocols and procedures.
School Patrol Officer
Universal Screening
All students (Grade 1-4) will be screened in the subject areas of literacy and math next week. Grade level teams and staff will utilize the data collected to help drive our instruction when looking at our interventions and extensions as a part of our Multi Tiered System of Support, known as Team Time, which is a block where each student receives Tier II instruction.
Arrival and Dismissal Procedures
Arrival Procedures
Arrival begins at 9:00 a.m. with buses unloading students. Parents may enter the parking loop to drop off their children between 9:05 a.m. and 9:10 a.m. after all buses have unloaded.
Parents must stay in their car at all times. Please exit students from the passenger side of the vehicle.
Walkers may arrive at the school at 9:00 a.m. Please do not arrive early or let your child arrive early as there is no supervision until 9:00 a.m. when the doors will be opened. Students that are having breakfast will enter the building at 8:50 a.m.
Dismissal Procedures
Bus dismissal will begin at 3:15 p.m. Parents can enter the loop after all buses have left (roughly 3:20 p.m.). Parent pickup tags, similar to the ones pictured below, will be provided for all families that indicated the need for afternoon transportation. Each family will get two car tags with the same number. Students will be provided with a backpack tag with the corresponding number. School staff will be able to easily identify the correct car in the pickup line outside of school. If a parent is designating someone else to pick up a child on a particular day, it will be up to the parent to make sure they provide that person with the pickup tag. Again, parents must stay in their car at all times unless, of course, it is necessary for you to help a child get out of their carseat. Please load your child into your vehicle on the passenger side.
We truly appreciate your support with following our arrival and dismissal procedures to keep all students safe. Please do not hesitate to contact the main office at 315-487-4648 with any questions.
Nutrislice & MySchoolBucks
The Nutrislice link (which is found on the WGCSD homepage) will allow you to view the daily breakfast and lunch menus in advance. MySchoolBucks allows families a debit "account" that allows the student to purchase lunch and a la carte items from the cafeteria. Money will be deducted accordingly from their account and funds can be replenished online or by sending in cash or a check in an envelope.
