Forysth County is located in the Piedmont region of North Carolina. The counties it neighbors with is Yadkin, Surry, Guilford, Davidson, & Davie. Forsyth was founded in 1849 & was named after colonel Benjamin Forsyth who was killed in the war of 1812. Forsyth is the county seat for WInston-Salem.

It is a total of 426 acres and is mostly nature based. Our main goal is to be a recreational and leisure for everyone to enjoy!

Wanna get into local government?
Get in on the next board of commissioners meeting! They're seven board members. They hold them twice a month on the second and fourth Mondays of each month. The responsibility of the commissioners is to adopt the annual county budget, setting the county property tax rate, establishing county policies and focusing on other land use matters. These are always open public and citizens are always encouraged to attend these meetings. The meetings are held in the County Commissioners Meeting Room on the fifth floor of the Forsyth County Government Center. The Government Center is located at 201 N. Chestnut St. in Winston-Salem, NC.
