The Family and Community Engagement Program is excited to announce our tenth annual Alief Family U Conference – HEROES AMONG US scheduled for Saturday, March 7 from 7:45 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at Hastings Ninth Grade Center. This exciting day includes engaging sessions in English and Spanish for parents, staff, children, and preteens. Enjoy student performances, comments from our Superintendent and Alief School Board, food, prizes, and childcare. The day will conclude with our keynote speaker, Raul Magdaleno.

There has been an increase in scammers all over the world sending impersonating emails to email accounts. These scams or con emails look like the email is from someone you know and the sender asks you to purchase gift cards for them and send them a picture of the gift card codes.

Always look at the email address of the sender. Look at the "From" email address not the name of the sender. Scammers use Gmail, Hotmail, etc.

They will also try to send very official looking emails from companies like Amazon or Apple asking to verify payment information on your account with a link included in the emails. Do not click on any link inside an email and verify without getting verification from the company first. If in doubt, log into that company account securely and verify the information yourself and report any suspicious emails to the company. They take phishing emails very seriously.
