A Message from Principal Blair


Welcome Back, JMS!


It has been wonderful seeing so many families attend our Open House events! Thanks to all those who signed up to volunteer as a "Hallway HERO" or to serve on our PTO. Our librarian, Alison Martone, will reach out in the next few days for more information on PTO.


We are reviewing all schedule change requests along with course availability in Elective classes. Many of these requests have been approved and updated in ParentPortal. Some have been denied due to limited availability and class size.


Our school day begins at 8:10 AM and ends at 3:50 PM. At 8:00 AM, an announcement will dismiss students to their designated classroom where they will receive a new copy of their class schedule.


The building opens and begins serving breakfast at 7:45 AM. Students who do not eat breakfast will report to the gym.


Students will be dismissed at 3:50 PM with car riders and walkers exiting the front of the building and bus riders reporting to the bus loop.

Front Office Updates


Registration

As you know, we've experienced some technical difficulties with online registration this year. Currently, we are in the process of combining online documents with any paper documents that were submitted. If your child has any missing registration documents, we will send those home with students during 8th period class by Friday.


Locker Requests

Student lockers are available upon request. Students are encouraged to use a backpack for necessary supplies. Please contact our campus receptionist, Tristyn Lopez, for more information.


Attendance

Please contact the JMS Attendance clerk, Patricia Esquivel, anytime your child is absent from school. Be sure to send doctor's notes for excused absences.

A Message From Child Nutrition Services

The Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) has announced that all public schools on the National School Breakfast & Lunch Program will be offering free breakfast & lunch to students for the SY 2021 - 2022 due to the pandemic with many families needing assistance during these times.


Students may still add money to their student account with cash or check or make a payment online at www.schoolcafe.com for snacks and ala carte items or a second meal.
