DIEGNAN MEETS WITH AWARD-WINNING FCCLA CHAPTER

Senator Patrick Diegnan had the privilege of meeting with John Adams Middle School’s chapter of the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA). The meeting fittingly took place during FCCLA Week (Feb. 12-18) and Career and Technical Education Month in New Jersey, which supports several career and technical student organizations including FCCLA. DIEGNAN JOINS IMPORTANT CONVERSATION ABOUT SCHOOLS

Senator Patrick Diegnan is among the panelists taking part in the 2023 New Jersey Principals and Supervisors Association Legislative Conference and Membership Meeting. The March 24 conference, featuring some of the state’s top legislative and policy leaders, will focus on student assessment, student mental health, state Department of Education initiatives, addressing student learning issues and the difficult challenge of staffing our schools. SOUTH PLAINFIELD 911 CENTER TO BE UPGRADED

With $370,000 in federal funding Congressman Frank Pallone secured, the borough’s emergency response system will soon be extensively modernized and upgraded. South Plainfield’s Emergency Operations Center, which received more than 68,000 calls for assistance last year alone, has functioned two decades without a complete overhaul. Read more

SHERIFF’S OFFICE TO HOLD ANNUAL CIVILIAN ACADEMY

The Middlesex County Sheriff’s Office will conduct an eight-week Sheriff’s Civilian Academy for residents of Middlesex County this spring. The Sheriff’s Civilian Academy is designed to educate Middlesex County residents on the various functions and duties of the Sheriff’s Office. Read more
