Steps to Improve Connectivity on Your Student mLISD Laptop

As we welcome our high school students to the school year on Monday, we need all middle and high school students to improve connectivity for Virtual Empowered Learning by:


  • turning on your district-issued Lenovo, mLISD laptop over the weekend,

  • keeping it connected to the Internet (use the device if you’d like), and

  • restarting it manually once or twice on Saturday or Sunday.


Our technology team has been busy working to improve connectivity and to welcome our high school students to the 2020-21 school year on Monday, Aug. 17. We have installed the new, additional servers and remotely pushed a software update to 8,000 laptops over the past 24 hours.


Thank you, middle school students and families, for a remarkable first two days to the 2020-21 school year. We look forward to seeing high school students on Monday morning. Together, we’re better, even when we’re virtual!

Technology issue causes LISD to cancel the first two virtual learning days for all high school students

Pasos para mejorar la conectividad en su cuenta de estudiante con un computador portátil de mLISD

Este lunes daremos la bienvenida a nuestros estudiantes de escuelas preparatorias, y por ello necesitamos que los estudiantes de secundaria y preparatoria mejoren su conectividad con el Aprendizaje Virtual Empoderado realizando estos simples pasos:


  • Encender su computador Lenovo, el portátil de mLISD proporcionado por el distrito el fin de semana,

  • Mantenerlo conectado al internet (usando el dispositivo que usted tenga), y

  • Reiniciarlo manualmente una o dos veces el sábado o el domingo.


Nuestro equipo de tecnología ha estado trabajando con tesón para mejorar la conectividad y dar la bienvenida a nuestros estudiantes de preparatoria al año escolar 2020-2021 este lunes 17 de agosto. Hemos instalado ya los nuevos servidores adicionales y enviamos la actualización remota al software a 8000 computadores portátiles en las pasadas 24 horas.


Gracias a nuestros estudiantes de secundaria y a sus familias por unos memorables dos primeros días en este año escolar 2020-2021. Esperamos ver a nuestros frescos y listos para aprender este lunes en la mañana. Revisar sus correos y horarios de sus maestros. ¡Juntos somos mejores, incluso de manera virtual!
