What is Desalination?
Desalination is the process of removing dissolved salts from water, producing fresh water from sea water or salt water and fresh water mixed together also known as brackish water. Desalting technologies can be used for many things. the most used is to produce portable water from saline water for domestic or municipal purposes.
What materials are needed?
- Sea water
- Filters-removes solids and other particals that would inter fear with the process.
- Water tank
- Water pumps
- chlorine
- concentrated water
Process
step number 1
Taking salt water from seas and oceans.
step number 2
Filtering the water and taking out all the sand, gravel and other solids to make fresh water.
step number 3
Now that water has become fresh water for us to drink.
