Thanks to all who came to our Elective Technology PD on last Wednesday. It is our hope that the PD was beneficial and will assist you in being more effective in the classroom. Thanks to our presenters as well.
We have one more week and we will be off for the Thanksgiving Break. As we begin to think about all the things we are thankful for, I would like to express how thankful we are to have a talented and dedicated staff. Thanks for all the extra hours you put into providing an optimal learning environment for our students. Thank you for sponsoring those extracurricular activities that allow our students to be well-rounded individuals. Lastly, thank you for be cooperative and collegial toward fellow faculty and staff.
Continue on striving for continuous improvement, it has not gone unnoticed.
Many have expressed assistance with classroom management ideas and tips. Below are a couple of articles that can be used as a starting point.

EE Monday Study Session
- EE Study session in the Library for all DP and CP Seniors all day.
- Students will work on their Extended Essays and Reflective Projects.
Energy in Action (Formally UAB STEM Program)
- We will meet in the library during 8th block at 2:45.

IB Day at ASFL
- DP and CP students will be participating and volunteering at ASFL all day.
- Students will depart at 9:00 and return by 2:00.
- Mrs. Cobbs will send out a listing of students that will be participating.
PST/RTI Meetings
- 8:10-8:55 in the Library Conference Room.

Freshman Academy 1 on 1 Teacher Conferences

Veteran's Day Program at Westlawn Middle School
Fall Club Expo
- The Club Expo will be on December 6-7, 2016.
- Club Sponsors will be responsible for setting up a display table for your club and have at least 2 club representatives to man the table.
- Students will rotate through the expo via their Social Studies classes on those days on a rotating schedule.
- Mrs. Williams has sent out emails outlining the expectations for the club expo.
