Extended Learning Plan Announced, June 7 thru June 18 At OSSB
Dear Parents and Guardians,
With Governor DeWine's support, we are pleased to announce our Extended Learning Plan for all K-12 students. We are providing ten additional days of face to face learning on campus for our students from June 7th through June 18th. Our daily schedule will include core academic learning, expanded core curriculum, project-based learning, and other engaging enrichment activities. Resident life will continue to offer services to those students who qualify.
Transportation, detailed schedules, and more information is coming soon. Please reach out to our building administrators or to me with questions.
Sincerely,
Lou Maynus, OSSB Superintendent
CAPA Goes Virtual
Because we haven’t been able to go on field trips to the theater this school year, OSSB elementary students have taken advantage of the CAPA (Columbus Association of the Performing Arts) virtual 2020-21 Passport to Learning Series.
This year, Mrs. Peirano’s class watched the performances of Step Afrika!, Black Violin, and Full Steam Ahead Live-When Science Goes Viral.
Students have also participated in the Careers in the Arts Series to explore the careers such as graphic designer, programming director, marketing manager, technical director, lighting designer, photographer, director of education, ticketing specialist and community programming manager. All programs have been free! ~Mrs. Peirano
