This Sunday: Last Worship of the Year and Senior Recognition
It happened. We're done. Another school year has come and gone. For some of you it has inched by at a snail's pace. For others of you it has flown by leaving you bewildered and unsteady.
Many of you find yourselves at the door to graduation. Your years at Naz are drawing to a swift conclusion. Perhaps you are feeling reflective. Maybe you're in denial. Maybe you're excited, or nervous, or afraid, or all of the above. Each year, the Center for Spirituality offers an opportunity to gather and reflect on your years at Naz at the annual Senior Retreat. It's a chance to take a few hours and honestly and seriously reflect on what your time in college has meant, how you have changed, and what it means for y ou as you move on from Nazareth. Check your email for information about this special gathering for seniors.
For those of you who aren't graduating, I look forward to next year and want to gather your feedback. If you have any comments, questions, or concerns about how we could better meet your spiritual needs, please feel free to email me or drop a note at GAC 164.
It has been a joy to be with you all this year--in worship, in conversation, in laughter, in retreat, in doughnuts and silly internet videos shared. You each, in your own ways, reveal the presence of the Holy One. My prayers are with you as you embark on your summers. May they be a time to rest (at least a little bit), a time to reflect, a time to pray and grow in faith, and a time to be renewed.
I can't wait to see what the 2016-2017 school year has in store for us! May you go in peace, go in light, and go in love.
Blessings,
Nadia
Upcoming in Worship
Our final vesper for Spring Semester 2016 will be held Sunday night at 8:30 pm in Linehan Chapel.
This Sunday, May 1st-- senior recognition, and guest preacher, Kelley Citrin.
All are welcome. Food and fellowship will follow worship.
Prayer, Reflection, and Exploration
As you finish up this Spring semester, I encourage you to reflect on how God has seen you through the ups and downs of the last few months. Take time to praise him for the ways in which he has been faithful and good.
"Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good! Blessed is the man who trusts in Him! Oh, fear the LORD, you His saints! There is no want to those who fear Him. The young lions lack and suffer hunger; but those who seek the LORD shall not lack any good thing. "
Psalms 34:8-10
