The Rocket Review

Principal's Message
Thank you to all our amazing families and teachers for making our Math Family Night such a HUGE success. A great time was had by all.
We ended our week with an outstanding performance of "Let's Go to the Movies" with our 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students. Once again, Mr. Foxx put on a great show with our students.
If you have not already done so, please complete the Parent Climate Survey. The grade level with the highest number of parent surveys will have a special surprise treat. So far, FIRST GRADE is in the lead with 23 parent surveys submitted.

The South Carolina Department of Education partners with the Education Oversight Committee to deliver a parent survey. The responses to this survey help school and district leaders understand how parents feel about our school. A link to this survey is being sent to the parents or guardians of every student in South Carolina.
If you have multiple children, you might get several links. We are only asking you to complete one survey for each school your children attend. You are permitted to complete one survey for each of your children if you would like to, but only one survey for each school is needed.
Thank you in advance for giving us your feedback.
The survey will remain open until April 14. Please see below for steps on how to access the survey.
^^^Parents will also have the opportunity to complete the survey in the technology lab during Family Math Night.***

Hello Fifth Grade Parents,
This year, your Fifth grader will be creating a slide that will be shown during the Fifth Grade Promotion Ceremony. They will be making these slides during Technology class. I would love to have a first day of school picture (Kindergarten, if possible) or at least a picture of them when they were little to add to the slide. The goal is to show how much they have grown over the years.
The due date is March 31st.
Please click on the link to submit your child’s picture. https://forms.gle/UDhsGbT7g3VfdHYH9
- Positioning: when in class or at home, make sure kids’ feet are supported when seated. Poor posture and balance can happen when feet are dangling.
- Establish organization and routine: plan ahead to choose outfits, breakfast, and packing lists for backpacks according to school schedule. Establishing a consistent routine means less rush in the morning.
- Task completion: A visual schedule or checklist can help children participate in and complete tasks more independently. Example: visual schedule on the steps for hand washing.
