Served well when hunting down enemy surface ships or submarines or in the locations of downed airmen or seamen.
How does it work?
- Biplane aircraft powered by a single Curtiss E-4 engine of 40 horsepower and featuring a tricycle undercarriage.
- The wings itself were equal-span biplanes assemblies with duel bays between the power plants, each rotating two-bladed propellers.
Weapons
- weaponry included up to 7 x 7.7mm Lewis Machine Guns on flexible mountings.
Crew
- Crew consisted of two pilots and two dedicated machine gunners.
Undercarriage
- The plane itself could hold up to a 460 pounds of bomb load.
