2021-2022 Class Placement Information

Class Placement Parent Input Process

Each year in May, the teachers, guidance counselor, and the administrative team begin planning for the upcoming school year. While planning will continue well into the summer months, one of the most crucial processes begins right around now.

The Elementary School Staff considers a great deal of information when making decisions about a child's upcoming placement. We consider academic programming needs, learning styles, as well as input from previous teachers and home.

Please see the letter below for more information about the Elementary School's class placement process and how you can share your input. Please remember all parent/guardian input must be shared in writing no later than Friday, May 14th.

Field Day 2021

The Elementary School PE Department is pleased to announce the return of Field Day! While our field day procedures will be different this year to align with the district's health and safety plan, all students will have an opportunity for some fun in the sun!

Field Day is scheduled for June 4th (rain date June 11th). Each grade level will have a designated time to participate in our Field Day games. Virtual students will have the option to participate on campus with their grade level or participate in a virtual field day at home.

The Elementary School faculty and staff look forward to helping the PE department with the day's events and we will not be in need of parent volunteers this year. We look forward to next year when we hope to bring back our more traditional Field Day routines.

Stay tuned for more information in the coming weeks from our PE department and your child's teacher!

Advanced Math Placement 2021-2022

This year we will screen all students in grades 3, 4, and 5 for advanced math placement. Placement into advanced math is based on a child's performance on a number of curriculum-based measures as well as input from your child's teacher.

Families are notified of their child's math placement in July for the upcoming school year.
