Sherwood Schools Now Offering Online Registration for the 2021-22 School Year

The Sherwood School District now offers online registration as a new, convenient way to enroll in school. New and existing families may use the online registration system to enroll new students (and withdrawn students planning to return) in the 2021-22 school year. Paper-based enrollment is also still available. Please note that registration is not necessary for current Sherwood students, as they are automatically enrolled in the 2021-22 school year.

Online registration is accessible at https://bit.ly/SSD-OLR. New families may sign up for a ParentVUE account at this site. Parents of current and former Sherwood students must log in with their existing ParentVUE account or activate ParentVUE to use online registration. By Friday, March 19, the District will email an activation key to all current parents who have not yet activated ParentVUE. Please contact your current student's school or the school at which you wish to register with any questions about ParentVUE activation.

Please see our Enrollment Process page for more information about the online registration system and for answers to general enrollment questions.

Kindergarten Registration & Open House

Incoming Kindergarten student registration is now open! Please register online (see information about online registration above), or contact your school if you need a paper packet.

Each elementary school will hold a Kindergarten Parent Information Night on April 28th from 6:00-7:00 PM. An additional event that includes Kindergarten students will take place in summer, likely in August. We are excited to welcome the class of 2035!

Dual Language Immersion (DLI) at Hawks View Elementary

The Sherwood School District is excited to continue our Spanish/English Dual Language Immersion (DLI) Program in the Fall of 2021. Our current Kindergarten class will move into the first grade, and a new DLI class will begin for incoming Kindergarten students. A DLI Program has the goal of promoting bilingualism, bi-literacy, and socio-cultural competence. More information will be presented at the Hawks View Dual Language Immersion Parent Information Night on April 7th from 6:30 - 7:30pm.

We will be accepting applications for the new DLI Kindergarten class, with a balance of native English and Spanish speakers. There are a few slots open in our first grade class as well. Applications will be available on April 7th at the Parent Information Night, as well as online.

OHA Recreation Guidance Update

On Wednesday, the Oregon Health Authority updated their guidance on capacity for both indoor and outdoor recreation, noting that maximum occupancy of facilities is now based on a percentage of capacity, as follows:

  • Indoor - 50% of capacity or 100 people total, whichever is smaller

  • Outdoor - 25% of capacity

While this change does not create significant increases for most of our athletic fields or facilities (for example, previous capacity at our indoor facilities were already close to this new percentage), it does increase the maximum number of spectators we can accommodate at our two stadiums (at Sherwood High School and Sherwood Middle School). Indoor facility rental is still closed to outside groups.

The high school team is reviewing this change and determining the best approach to expand spectator access at athletic events held in the impacted facilities; high school students and families will receive additional communication today with more information on spectator access to athletic events.

Technology Hub Closed During Spring Break

The SSD Technology Hub will be closed March 22-26 over Spring Break, and will reopen on Monday, March 29. For more information on the Technology Hub, please click here.
