Adding and Subtracting Fractions

Step 1. If the denominators are different then find the LCM or the least common denominator

Step 2. Once you did that just add/subtract the top numbers or the numerators and you get you answer

Step 3. Don't forget to simplify if you can

Step 1. If its a mixed number that change it into an improper fraction and then do steps 2-4

Step 2. Multiply the numerators together

Step 1: Line up the decimal

Step 2: Add any zero place holders

Step 3: Then add or subtract the decimals like you would add or subtract a normal problem
