GAS TOY LAB
Greyson, Filippo
Station 10: Puttin' on the Heat....FizzKeeper
a. The bottle's starting temperature was around 76 degrees. After pumping it 20 times, it stayed around 86 degrees.
b. Gay-Lussac's Law [ P1/T1 = P2/T2 ]
c. As stated in the Gay-Lussac Law. When pressure is increased the temperature will also. Pumping the Fizz Keeper causes the pressure in the bottle to increase, since the pressure in the bottle is increasing the temperature follows.
Thoughts? This experiment clearly stated the Gay-Lussac Law. It was a simple, but unique way to show it.
