AVID Socratic Seminars

We are going to have some fun with Socratic Seminars on Wednesday morning at our Faculty Meeting. We will only have about 20 minutes to spend with them, so please take time read through the presentation below.

You will also need to either watch The Giving Tree YouTube video or read the book prior to Wednesday morning!

Trauma Informed Schools

As we continue to build our capacity to support students in a trauma informed school setting, I continue to look for resources and supports to help us on that journey. I came across this website and found it to have a tremendous amount of information and supports for students. If you have a minute, be sure to check it out.

Important Information

March 7th Faculty Meeting

I shared the agenda for Wednesday morning's faculty meeting, as well as provided a link to it here.

We have quite a few things to discuss - lots of good things! We will spend some times playing with Socratic Seminars. Please review the attached slides and either read or watch The Giving Tree (both are embedded earlier in the newsletter). Our seminar will focus on The Giving Tree, so you will have wanted to read or watch it prior to our meeting.

I'm looking forward to spending the morning together!

PLC Agenda Options

You should have a PLC Agenda Template in your Google Docs.

The link below contains files for 3 different templates for PLC agendas/notes. You are able to choose to use one of these as well. Please remember to share them with Jennifer/Jen and any specialists that you have working with your team.

The video below shows you how to save the agenda templates to your own Google Drive.
