STAAR 3-8 Next Week!

Dear Parents,

Next week is the 3-8 STAAR administration. Please be sure your child is well-rested and is at school by 7:45a. Breakfast will be provided to testing grades from 7:30-7:45a. Please note there will be no visitors allowed on campus during testing.

EOC and AP Exams next week!

Attention all High School Parents!

STAAR EOC and AP Exams are next week! The schedule is as follows:

Mon: 11th gr. U.S. History and AP Biology
Tues: 9th gr. Biology
Wed: Algebra
Fri: AP European History

Please make sure your child gets a good night's sleep and is at school by 7:45am. Breakfast will be provided for all testing students. Contact Mrs. Redmond with any questions.

Field Day 2016

What to bring:

- Bottle of water

- Sunscreen

- Hat

- Towel ( Some activities will be using water)

- Change of clothes

- Sack Lunch ( A form will be sent home to order a sack lunch, but it is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED that they bring a sack lunch from HOME.

Important Notes:

Students will get free dress on Field Day but clothes must still meet school dress code.

Remember check the length of the shorts and wear athletic shoes (no cleats or open toed shoes)!

If out of dress code and the issue cannot be fixed they will not participate in Field Day.

Volunteers who have signed up will go around to the stations with their child’s class. You will have to check in the main office with your driver’s license.

Please email your child’s teacher so they know you are coming to help!

Lost&Found

Lost & Found will be donated after school on Friday.

Lunch Balances

Please note that May 5th marks the beginning of the $0.00 lunch balances. All accounts must always have a positive balance in order for your child to receive lunch. They will be sent to the front office to notify you if funds are not available. Students may bring lunch money with them to pay in the front office as needed. You may also add funds to their account account online or pay in the front office.

Teacher Appreciation Week

May 2nd - 6th is Teacher Appreciation week. Please join the PTO in celebrating our tireless teachers and staff and letting them know how thankful we are for everything they do for our children. We have designated a theme to every day of that week for your children to show their appreciation with drawings, cards and small gift. Additionally, we will be hosting a luncheon for our HSB staff on Thursday, May 5th, and are asking for appetizers, drinks and dessert donations to make it really special. Please see the attached flyers for more details.

SUMMER LEADERSHIP STEM CAMP for middle school

Dear Parents,

Harmony Public Schools – Dallas Cluster will be having a SUMMER LEADERSHIP STEM CAMP from May 30th thru June 4th, 2016 (boys) and May 26th thru May 31st, 2016 (girls). Students will enjoy fun, team building, STEM activities, leadership talks, games, movies, and much more.


Students need to return their signed permission slips, medical release and liability forms to the front office along with deposit payment of $100.00 by Friday, April 29, $200 by Friday, May 13, 2016.


Event cost includes all meals at the camp as well as transportation and accommodation fee! The fee does not include meals purchased while traveling to or from the camp.

SUMMER STUDY ABROAD PROGRAM IN POLAND

Finally, we are all set to go to POLAND for a summer study abroad program. Harmony Public Schools are organizing its SUMMER STUDY ABROAD PROGRAM IN POLAND. Students are going to improve their language and culture skills and get exposed to a different world. We believe that this summer program will provide more college readiness and change the students perspectives on life by experiencing different cultures and environments.

Spots are limited

Program Dates: June 1st - June 21st

Application Deadline: March 31st, 2016

Program Fee: $3,600

Grade Level: 8th - 11th
