Parents,

Summer fun can include summer learning! There are so many ways students can use reading, writing and math during their vacations and summer breaks. I'm including a link for information and activities to help you help your children continue their learning this summer. Your children may have brought home a hard copy from "Step It Up Day", but I wanted to make sure you had access to the information online too. Each child also brought home a summer packet to encourage reading , writing, and math through the summer. During Step it up Day the teachers explained the packets and August incentives for completing their activites. Your child's teachers are planning a special celebration for students who return their summer activites and reading logs on the first day of school. Our 5th graders received activites provided by the middle school principals and counselors. They will also be planning a celebration for completed activities returned the first week of school at the middle school.

I hope you have a safe, enjoyable summer and thank you so much for sharing your children with me. I love each and every one of them!

Student Council and 5th grade attended a Rough Rider baseball game last week.

5th grade field day was a success! Thank you to all the PE coaches and parent volunteers for a great day.

Officer Bianco with the Anna Police Department read to kinder last week! He has spent many hours on our campus this year mentoring students, visiting students during lunch, playing with them and reading. Thank you Officer Bianco for all you done for our students this year!

Mrs. Rawlins' 5th grade and Mrs. Hightower's 1st grade students have been book buddies this year. They celebrated the end of the school year with a popsicle party together!

2nd grade had the longest kindness chain and won a popsicle party!

Friday was "Step It Up Day" at Harlow! All students stepped up to the next grade for a glimpse of their year ahead. Students al received summer learning fun to bring home. There will be grade level celebrations in August for summer activities returned on the first day of school.
