Daisy Troop 2220
Next Meeting is Friday, May 13, 2016
During the April Meeting, Mrs. Cavalino-Gilbert and Averie organized a fun set of activities to help the girls earn the orange petal, "responsible for what I say and do." After a great book that matches the theme of the day the girls got set to make their own responsibility gardens. They decorated their name labels, flowers and filled the "pots." The purpose was to start with an empty pot each day or week and plant their flowers every time they were responsible for that chore to result in a full garden. Some chose and awful lot of flowers! Hopefully they are keeping up their end of the bargain.
We do not have a parent leader for next week so we have arranged for some older scouts to come to our meeting and teach the girls songs! Hopefully there will also be time to create a craft with them as a thank you gift.

JUNE 3rd --> POOL PARTY!
In lieu of a traditional meeting in June we will have a party to celebrate completing our first year of Girl Scouts and the friendships that have been made.
Mrs. Henry (Harper's Mom) and Mrs. Klare (Cameron's Mom) have graciously offered to host at the Harper's house, 832 S. Boulevard. We will walk the girls from school to the party and you will need to pick them up there. Please plan to send them to school with their suits, towel, sunscreen, etc. No Daisy smocks needed. Of course we will send a reminder and parents are welcome to help supervise. Party time will be 2:30 - 5:00 pm.
