Setting up your display settings for your Smartboard
Changing the Screen Resolution for your Smartboard
Follow these steps to change the screen resolution and settings for your Smartboard. First, take a look at the difference between extended and duplicated displays to see which setting will be best for you.
- Extend these Displays = This will use your Smartboard like an extra monitor. Things you want to show on the Smartboard, you will need to drag over to that screen. You will only be able to display on the Smartboard with this setting, and not write on it.
- Duplicate these Displays = What you see on your desktop is what your students will see on the Smartboard.
Right Click on the Desktop Screen
When you right click, you will see several options. Click on the one that says, "Screen Resolution".
Multiple Displays
Click the dropdown box next to "Multiple Displays". Select "Duplicate these Displays" if you want the smarboard to show exactly what is on your desktop.
Apply Changes
Click "Apply" to save any changes you have made.
