Your promises to LAUSD ignites us to lead with urgency. We leave the gathering hopeful, knowing we will make a difference in young lives collectively.
Marlton Students Get Visit from BBC News Morning Show

BBC News morning show Reporter, Producer and Culture Editor, Katie Razzall visits with our Local District West's Marlton School to film our theatre class of 11th and 12th graders. Students also greeted Actor Troy Kotsur, and Director Sian Heder, and screenwriter of the Oscars nominated film CODA. Previous Oscar-winner Marlee Matlin was also interviewed. Students were inspired and encouraged to follow their dreams.
Marlton School is inspirational and has been a trailblazer in offering a bilingual program in American Sign Language and English.

Book Donation to Venice Community of Schools
Venice CoS graciously thanks the Young Storytellers Foundation, Max Greenfield, and Penguin Random House for donating a copy of the book "I Don't Want To Read This Book" to every Pre- Kindergarten through 2nd grade teacher in the Venice Community of Schools!! This energy and laugh-out-loud story invites even the most reluctant reader to read!

Venice Community of Schools congratulates Boys Basketball Coach Dave Galley from Venice High School for being named Coach of the Year by the LA Times. Coach Galley's leadership led Venice High's boys' basketball team to its best season in more than 70 years!!

West Point Cadets hold LEADS at WPHS
Washington Prep High School students participate with Cadets from U.S. Military Academy in LEADS. Known as the West Point Leadership Ethics and Diversity in STEM Workshop, students are learning the value of ethical and moral leadership, and the how and why of making better choices. Special thanks to Principal Booker, LD West Dr. Brown for their inspiring words and Washington Prep Alum, Capitan Tiki Nelworth, who spoke to students about the challenges he faced and how this program impacted his life.
