POSITIVE START TO 22-23 SCHOOL YEAR
I am extremely grateful to the entire Imagine-Chancellor family for a successful and POSITIVE start to the 22-23 school year. As I start my morning each day, I am blessed to see all the smiling faces of our students as they enter the school. Additionally, it has been a pleasure to meet our new family members and catch up with our returning family members.
Last month, we kicked off the Houses of Imagine-Chancellor! Students demonstrated their house pride at our 1st spirit day which was SPECTACULAR! I can't wait to witness the evolution of these houses throughout the school year!
As we enter the month of September, I am so proud of our Imagine-Chancellor students as they have demonstrated numerous character strengths so far this school year. I have witnessed student leaders emerge as they share ideas and perspectives to promote positive change on our campus.
As teachers inspire and drive students to engage in the learning process, I continue to be amazed over their creativity, curiosity and love of learning. It is vital for the Imagine-Chancellor family to continue to work together to maintain our strong school community and cultivate positivity in action.
To recognize students' actions through character strength implementation, our staff will start to issue Positivity Pennies. I am excited and hopeful to see a record amount of Positivity Pennies issued for the month of September as students promote and live out the positivity in action mindset.
I am forever grateful for the commitment and support from our outstanding teachers, staff, students, and parents. We are Imagine Chancellor STRONG!

*We understand and acknowledge when unforseen circumstances arise (i.e., accidents) and take into account when these things occur so your child is not marked tardy.
Effective, Monday Sept 12th any student who arrives after 8:35 am, must have a parent/guardian/adult sign them into school.
- Students who are enrolled in before care will be able to enter the campus daily from 7:15-7:45 am off of High Ridge Road. Parents will receive special car tags to identify as before care students.
- All other students will not be permitted to enter campus prior to 7:50 am.
- Parents who are not enrolled in before care will enter the campus off of Miner Rd following traffic down Imagine Way. Gates will be open to all students at 7:50 am each morning.
- Access to the school off High Ridge Road will not be accessible from 7:45 am-8:45 am.
- All students will use hand sanitizer prior to entering the building.
· Staggered dismissal times will remain the same:
K-2- 3:00 pm
3rd-5th- 3:15 pm
6th-8th- 3:30 pm
K-2: South side of the school
K-8 students with siblings: South side of the school
3rd-8th students without siblings: North side of the school
- All students will remain in their classroom during dismissal
- PikMyKid will be utilized as our dismissal program
- Parents must check-in using the PikMyKid app or provide the designated staff member the assigned dismissal number for their child(ren). Please place your PikmyKid dismissal tag on your rear view mirror or dashboard for staff to easily see.
- Gates will be open to all students at dismissal times. Dismissal traffic will flow down Imagine Way (back road off of Miner Rd) and onto north or the south side of the campus based off your child(ren)'s designated side.
- If you have multiple children in different grade levels, please come at the oldest child’s release time to pick up all of your children on the SOUTH SIDE of the school.
- Please do not come earlier than your child’s assigned dismissal time. Parents that have children in grades 3-8 that come early will be directed to go around and come back at their assigned time.
No students shall be released after 2:30 pm unless the principal/designee determines it is an emergency.
All schools will establish procedures for early release that ensure that all students are treated consistently.
Excessive early sign-outs will be addressed on a case-by-case basis to determine if there is a pattern of non-attendance. Non-attendance for instructional activities is established by tardiness, early-sign outs, or absences for all or any part of the day.
Unless excused under the provisions of this policy, accumulated early sign-outs will be recorded as unexcused absences. (F.S. 1003.02)
Houses at Imagine-Chancellor
Middle school students spun a wheel to determine what house they were placed in and will remain in that house throughout middle school. The middle school students will lead the houses and collaborate with the K-5 house members to show their house pride and spirit throughout the school. Each month, houses will host spirit days and students can show their house pride.
We are implementing a point system for each house to compete and earn points for various positive tasks throughout the school day and at school events. Our wonderful PTSA has purchased a house point app that will allow families to track the house points and be alerted when their family member earns a point for their house. Details regarding the app will be forthcoming. Can't wait for families to demonstrate their HOUSE PRIDE!

For the past two years, Imagine-Chancellor has been able to participate in a state-funded program that afforded all of our students’ free breakfast and free lunch. While this was wonderful for our families during this time, unfortunately, the program expired as of June 30th, 2022. We are currently awaiting approval from the state to be eligible for this once again.
I know that the grant was a great financial help to our families over the past two years. We were even able to feed members of the community who were not Imagine-Chancellor families through this grant. This was a great privilege for our school.
The updated Free and Reduced Lunch Program application is attached for all families. We strongly encourage all families needing food assistance to apply for the free and reduced lunch program. Please complete the application via the link below as soon as possible. The threshold for qualification changes from time to time and even if you have been denied in the past, you may qualify now.
For the 2022-2023 school year, regular breakfast prices will be $2.00 and lunch will be $3.00. We wanted to get this information to you now for planning purposes, in the event we do not qualify for the grant that supports free meals for the entire school.
Keep in mind, that you can load money into your child’s lunch account at https://www.slalunch.com. We do ask that all parents create accounts to be able to access their students’ transaction histories and add funds.

Again, we know and empathize that the end of this grant may be a hardship for some families. Please apply for the free and reduced lunch program. Depending on the number of people on our campus who qualify for free and reduced lunch this helps makes us eligible for additional grants.
New Testing Family Portal
What is the Family Portal? The Family Portal provides a central location for Florida families to access their students’ statewide test results. The Family Portal will allow families to access test scores beginning with Spring 2021 and download your child’s Individual Score Reports (ISRs). The Family Portal will allow faster access, as well as still provide families access to test results even when your child changes schools or counties.
When scores are initially released from the state, the District loads student test scores into the Student Information System (SIS), typically within 2–3 days. However, please keep in mind the state Family Portal for Spring 2022 will take approximately 30 days to populate results after state release.
Field Trip Chaperone Procedures

Chaperone Guidelines 2022-2023
Parent chaperones are the key to a safe and successful field trip or school event. It is,
therefore, imperative that all chaperones follow the school directions and guidelines.
● Chaperones must stay with their assigned group at all times, including waiting
in lines and at the restrooms. NO EXCEPTIONS!
● Chaperones are expected to do a head count at each stop during the day.
● Chaperones may not carry or dispense medication to any child.
● Chaperones may not smoke, drink alcoholic beverages, or use inappropriate
language in the presence of students.
● If a chaperone purchases anything for a child in the group other than their own
child, he/she must purchase for everyone within the group.
● Chaperones must adhere to the time schedule provided by the teacher or
● Chaperones are responsible for controlling the behavior of all the students in
their group. Students who do not cooperate must be reported to the teacher or
school personnel in charge. Students will not be permitted to be rude or
disrespectful to chaperones or anyone else.
**Bottom line – Chaperones are responsible for having the students conduct
themselves in the manner of what is expected of them at Imagine-Chancellor
At Imagine-Chancellor, we appreciate our parent/guardian chaperones so that we can
offer these trips to our students. Thank you for the time you are taking to make our field
trips safe and successful.
All chaperones must follow the procedures via the form below to be considered to chaperone a trip this school year. Each year a new form must be completed.
