ACSA Region 3 Newsletter
November 2023
President's Welcome
Dear ACSA Members,
As we turn the page from what felt like a long October, we step into a new month with a spirit of gratitude. October brought its share of challenges and triumphs, and your unwavering dedication through it all has been an inspiration. Now, as we embrace November, a month traditionally dedicated to gratitude and reflection, I want to take a moment to express my appreciation for your tireless efforts and commitment to our students and the community.
Since our last newsletter, we've had a number of opportunities to connect in person through our region mixer and a number of charter socials. We also celebrated our first Women's Leadership Network event of the year with a Sisterhood Supper Club in several charters on Tuesday, October 10th. I encourage you to stay connected to use through social media or by joining the GroupMe App (shared later in the newsletter).
In addition to our ongoing efforts, I'd like to remind everyone to nominate deserving students for the Every Student Succeeding award. This recognition is an excellent way to celebrate the remarkable achievements of our students and showcase their resilience and determination. The deadline is in a few days so don't wait! Find your charter nomination links below.
Finally, I hope to see you at the upcoming ACSA Leadership Summit. This event promises to be an incredible opportunity for professional growth, networking, and learning. It's a chance to rejuvenate our spirits and gather fresh ideas to propel our educational leadership further.
Thank you for your dedication and commitment to our shared mission. Let's keep the flame of inspiration alive as we support one another through the months ahead. #LeadershipInspired
In Partnership,
Shana Henry, Ed.D.
President, ACSA Region 3
Charter Updates
Capitol Charter
Capitol Charter fall mixer was a huge success. We met on October 17 at Centro Cocina Mexicana. There was great networking activities, opportunities to hear about the benefits of ACSA, and great conversation. There was good food, beverages, and an engaging game of trivia. Capital Charter was able to meet with Amanda McVey, Certified Retirement Education Specialist & Financial Services Certified Professional. She was able to talk to some of the members and principals who scheduled her company for school visits. Over the last two months, we've had several new members sign up to be a part of our Capital Charter!
North Charter
North Fall Social on 10/5 at the Officer’s Club. We had a good turnout with representation from multiple districts, so that was a big win!
Yolo Charter
The Yolo Charter Sisterhood Supper had a great kickoff event! Watch for more information regarding the next event!
