Notes from Mrs. Hyatt

Dear Richmond Drive Families,

PTO is getting ramped up for upcoming events for teachers and students! If you would like to be a part of the planning for the rest of the school year, please respond to this message and we will get you signed up for an information meeting.

Valentine's Day is just around the corner and will look a little different this year in Rock Hill Schools as we continue to keep everyone safe during COVID-19. The school will be providing all food and fun for Valentine's Day. Although it's not what we all desire, we are not allowing any food, drink, or cards to be brought into the school. Thank you for your understanding.

Charging computers at home is extremely important. Please continue to monitor that students are charging computers each night before going to bed.

With much appreciation,

Janice Hyatt

Please stay safe and healthy, by social distancing and washing your hands frequently.

Please wash your child's masks each week.

Help Is Here

Concerned about your child?

Have they experienced a traumatic event or a had significant loss?

Trouble sleeping, often anxious or over-stressed?

Low self-esteem?

Limited regard or concern for self or others?

Difficulty identifying and managing emotions?

Difficulty with concentration or maintaining self-control?

Frequently unable to regain composure after an emotional upset?

Social-emotional wellness is important for healthy child development.

There is help and support available at school.

Consider connecting with our school counselor

Mrs. Spain works with students on an individual basis for short-term counseling/student strategy sessions for finding solutions. If long-term counseling is more appropriate, requests for school-based community counseling can be made to serve the identified student needs. Parents are always welcome to consult with Mrs. Spain about counseling and student support services available to students and families.

There is still time to order a yearbook.
