Mother's Day Edition
This was a busy week! We continued our investigation on Boxes and celebrated Mother’s Day with a very special activity in our classrooms.
On our Boxes Study, we focused on the following question: How are boxes made? Children explored boxes from our collection to determine which materials are fitted to build a box. They learned how sturdiness means something that is strong and well built, and how this is a characteristic we look for in boxes.
On Monday, we challenged their problem solving skills by giving them a flattened box and asking them to build it. Later on, we started by asking them what materials they needed to create their own boxes. They suggested tape, glue, scissors, pieces of paper, and cardboard. Today, each student created their own boxes using cardboard, tape, and scissors. We will be sending the boxes home next week with a little treat!
Important Information
Dear Parents
This year I want to bring this tradition to our School Family. So Ms. Nicole and I will be bringing special gingerbread house cookies to decorate on Wednesday. We kindly ask if you can help us with treat and the royal icing. The icing is a very fundamental part of the decorations. It needs to be sugary and quick to dry!
We welcome your help, only if you can make it! If you cant, please explain to your child that you will be expecting a special cookie from them on that day.
We will have a blast!
Ho-Ho-Holiday Party

Mother's Day
Throughout the week, we practiced hard on our Spa skills. Children learned how to make hand massages and practiced painting nails. They learned and sand the song with joy! Today we saw their happy faces as they pampered you. They did such an amazing job, I am so proud of each and every one of them.
A big thank you to all of you for coming to celebrate Mother’s Day at our PK Spa.
