Summer MakerCamp
At the Oak Grove Makerspace
What is Summer MakerCamp?
A time to MAKE things! Summer MakerCamp will be very open-ended and directed by the student Makers. We will have access to a variety of tools and materials, but what we MAKE will be up to them! Here are a few ways they might MAKE:
- building
- sewing
- coding
- felting
- photography
- movie making
- robotics
- tinkering
- jewelry making
- electronics
- papercrafting
- tapigami
- woodworking
- 3D printing
- and more!
We can't wait to see what our group of makers will create!

Basic Makerspace Rules
- Respect all (stuff, teacher, one another, you).
- Clean up after yourself.
- Get smarter! (so you need to be working on something at all times)
Please have your child tie back any long hair and wear closed toed shoes.
We will be giving specific safety rules for certain pieces of equipment. Please talk with your child about the important of listening to those rules.
We will be encouraging your child to think about projects outside of MakerCamp by using various websites to get ideas. WE will also be registering your child for a few specific websites (just for kids) -- DIY.org, Tinkercad, and Code.org. This will allow you child to continue to explore after MakerCamp is over. We will send all the login info home after our first meeting.
