Cubs' Communication

November 11th

Collins' Families,

Thank you for a successful Parent-Teacher Conference week. These conferences can have a great impact on the success of your student. This conference will set a great pattern for the academic success for the next terms. When parents, teachers, and students work together for a common goal and then work hard to achieve that goal, only great things will occur. When we work as a team, then student growth and learning will increase. Our teachers are some of the most dedicated teachers that I have worked with. They put in countless hours to help our students become successful. They are fantastic! During this month of November, we often think of things we are grateful for, I am grateful for our teachers. They are wonderful!

"Put First Things First"

The idea of "put first things first" is that we learn that it is important to spend our time on things that are most important. With this, we need to set priorities to accomplish our daily tasks. For example, students will learn to work on their responsibilities first before they can play. WORK FIRST THEN PLAY! When accomplish the important things in life first, we will find that the smaller things can fit too. I challenge parents and students to look at their daily tasks and create a plan to "Put First Things First" and see how it helps you stay organized, calm, and in control of your responsibilities. With the holiday and break approaching this month, I encourage all to take this time to make family and your children a "priority" and spend some quality time with them. Human connection is one of the most important things we can give our loved ones; I hope all can make the time to include this in their planning of "Put First Things First."
