There’s no wrong way to make a dot! Join Flipgrid, the Reynolds Center, and Candlewick Press in a global celebration of creativity, courage, and collaboration: International Dot Day!

The Dot is the story of a caring teacher who dares a doubting student to trust in her own abilities by being brave enough to “make her mark.” What begins with a small dot on a piece of paper becomes a breakthrough in confidence and courage, igniting a journey of self-discovery and sharing, which has gone on to inspire millions of children and adults around the globe.

Join Flipgrid, Little, Brown Books for Young Readers, and NY Times Bestselling Author, Todd Parr to celebrate #BeWhoYouAreDay! Todd wants kids to feel just how special they truly are, and that’s why we’re celebrating #BeWhoYouAreDay on September 30, 2021. Your students will learn how Todd overcame obstacles to follow his dream, how to express themselves through art, how to embrace and celebrate themselves, and so much more!

Recommended Age Range: 4-10, but are all welcome.

In this virtual event, she'll discuss her ghost story series, Paola Santiago, which has drawn inspiration from Mexican culture and folklore and get your students excited to tell their own scary stories!
