FOX RIVER INFORMATION FOR INCOMING 6TH GRADE
Dear incoming 6th-grade students and families of Fox River Middle School,
We are excited to invite you to our upcoming Future Falcon Night on May 17, 2023, from 5:00PM-6:15PM. This event is an opportunity for you to get to know our school, meet our staff and teachers, and learn about the exciting opportunities that await you as a 6th grader at Fox River.
The night will kick off in the gymnasium where you will hear about the day in the life of a 6th grader and meet our amazing 6th-grade teachers. Following the informational meeting, you are welcome to tour the building and become familiar with your new school.
We cannot wait to welcome you and your family to Fox River and showcase all the amazing things our school offers. This is certain to be a fantastic night, and we hope you will join us.
Thank you for choosing Fox River Middle School for your child's education. We look forward to meeting you on May 17th!
Best regards,
Fox River Middle School Staff.
EAGLE CART NEEDS REPLENISHING!
REPORTING ABSENCES IN SKYWARD
Hello Evergreen Families,
We are excited to partake in a piloting experience with Fox River Middle School in reporting absences through Skyward for the remainder of the school year. All families are encouraged to use Skyward Family Access to enter absence requests. This includes requests for illness, medical appointments, and parent-excused absences.
You cannot upload any medical excuses into Skyward, but please continue to provide these letters to our building secretary.
Below are instructions on how you can enter absences via Skyward. By doing this through Skyward, you do not need to call the school. Once the absence is recorded, you will receive an email informing you of the submission and a second email once the request is processed.
We appreciate your participation and will offer a brief survey at the end of the school year to provide feedback on your experience. If you have any questions, please contact Melissa Adams at adamsm@waterford.k12.wi.us.
ENROLL FOR 4K/5K!
The 2022-2023 school year is well underway and it is time for us to think ahead to the 2023-2024 school year and our NEW 4K/5K students. Things will look a little different this year with enrollment. Rather than in-person enrollment, we will utilize an electronic enrollment process. Please know that if this presents an issue for any family you can contact your child’s home school and the school secretary can help. The information below will give guidance on how the new process will work.
WHO SHOULD ENROLL?
● Any student that will be 4 years old on OR before September 1, 2023
OR
● Any student who will be 5 years old on OR before September 1, 2023, that DID NOT attend 4K in the Waterford Graded School District is encouraged to enroll at this time.
WHAT YOU NEED TO DO
Register online by using the NSOE (New Student Online Enrollment) page on our website.
NEXT STEPS
Once you have completed the NSOE and verification has been completed, you will receive a letter with your Family Skyward Access permanent login credentials. You will need to complete registration for the 2023-24 school year in the fall when registration opens. Please contact your school secretary with questions.HEALTH SERVICES - NEW COVID -19 FORM
The Waterford Graded School District has a new form available to you when it is necessary to report a Covid-19 absence.
- If your student has tested positive for COVID, please stay home and notify the Attendance Office. Fill out the following Google form.
Absences related to COVID ISOLATION will continue to be medically excused only if proper documentation is provided, including a photo of your positive home test or written statement from a healthcare provider. Medical absences due to COVID will be acceptable for 5 days. If at the end of the 5 days, the student still has a fever and/or symptoms aren’t improving, then they need to continue their isolation until those criteria are met. At this point, to be excused any additional days, a doctor’s excuse will need to be provided for absences to be marked as medically excused.
The Covid-19 Form can be accessed through the Health Services link on our website.
Here you can also find other helpful information under the Parent Links for some of the more common illnesses we will see this winter.
