Tiger Tales
Newsletter #38 - June 5, 2023
We can't believe we are in our last month of this school year! We hope you enjoyed the beautiful weather this weekend and accomplished all the things you planned to do. At school, we are wrapping up our end of the year testing and enjoying the opportunities to recognize and celebrate our students' academic and social-emotional growth. June is also Pride Month, where we celebrate the LGBTQ+ community and amplify their stories and raise awareness for LGBTQ+ rights. Please check out the resources below to learn more.
For the remaining days ahead, please contact your child's teacher and the office if you plan on starting your summer break early, not only for attendance purposes, but also for any year end projects or tasks that need to be completed. Feel free to reach out if you have any special circumstances. Here's to a smooth week!
In partnership,
Kati & Betty

Happy Pride Month
The Bellevue School District seeks to create a safe, caring, and respectful environment for all of the diverse students, families and staff in our community. During the month of June, the district celebrates Pride Month by affirming members of the LGBTQ+ community and recognizing the impact that lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer* individuals have had on our collective history locally, nationally, and internationally.
In the United States, Pride Month is currently celebrated each year to commemorate the Stonewall Uprising which took place in June in New York City in 1969. Below are resources you can use with your child(ren) to talk more about pride month at home:
