The Eagle's Nest
Week of December 13, 2021

Families,
This is our final week before the holiday break. We enjoyed caroling in the neighborhood around Clyde Erwin last Tuesday, thanks to all of our families who welcomed us with smiling faces! We had so much fun.
We will have Holiday Spirit Week this week. Students are encouraged to dress by theme each day, but uniform bottoms must be worn. If students come to school in anything other than their uniform, parents will need to bring them a change of clothes. Friday is the only day they may wear a different bottom since it's pajama day.
This week we will have our Arts Academy Showcase after school on Tuesday and Thursday. These students will be performing for all of our Eagles during the school day on Tuesday, as well. We look forward to seeing the holiday play, dance performance, drums, and piano players. Our art students will have their art on display on Tuesday night and ceramics will have their display on Thursday. Performances begin at 5pm and everyone is invited, there is no limit to the number of guests students bring and attendance is free.
YMCA Arts Academy students will attend after school on Monday and Wednesday. On Tuesday and Thursday, only YMCA students performing those nights will stay to the afterschool program. There is no YMCA on Friday.
Important Reminders:
1. Tuesday- Afterschool Arts Academy Showcase for the drums, theater and art students. Theater students also perform for the entire school at 9am and 1pm.
2. Thursday- Afterschool Arts Academy Showcase for dance, piano, and ceramics
3. Students will be out on break December 20-January 3 and return on January 4th.
4. This week we will have holiday spirit week. Students must wear their uniform bottoms, but may wear themed shirts and head gear daily. Monday is Grinch or Ugly Sweater Day, Tuesday is Elf day, Wednesday is Santa Day, Thursday is Reindeer Day, and Friday is Pajama Day.
