Alaska Zipline Adventures Rainforest Canopy Tour
Tour Description & Requirements from alaskazip.com
Experience the wilderness of Alaska on a one-of-a-kind journey - zipping through the rainforest! Navigate and soar along a series of ziplines and a suspension bridge, never leaving the treetops!
Begin your zipline adventure in the heart of the Tongass National Forest at Eaglecrest Ski Area in Juneau, Alaska surrounded by mountain views and pristine old growth woods. Once you've arrived at the lodge, you will be greeted by your friendly and knowledgeable guides who will get you outfitted with our top of the line gear. After a safety briefing and practice run, you will be ready to take your "leap of faith" into the trees! Land in uniquely designed, fully enclosed treehouse platforms where you can comfortably take in the scenery or snap a picture. Sip on a cup of hot (or cold) blueberry tea while you listen to your guides tell stories of living in Southeast Alaska or share facts about the local area, alpine forest and flora and fauna. Cross a suspension bridge over a rushing salmon spawning stream as you near the end of your trip. No hand-braking is required so you can sit back and enjoy the ride while your guides handle all the equipment to ensure you feel safe. Our expert guides are also there to add to your experience, adventure and fun!
Top off your tour by trying your hand at Axe Throwing and embrace your inner lumberjack! (Available for both adults and kids.) Back at the lodge you will have an opportunity to relax in our cozy lounge while you enjoy a light snack and watch a slideshow of the pictures taken during your adventure. There will also be time to purchase any zipline souvenirs in our gift shop.
This tour is a great way to make memories with your family and friends and is fun for everyone of all ages! Come find out why we are ranked the #1 Activity in Juneau on Tripadvisor! See you in the trees!
Participants are required to be at least 8 years old and weigh between 70-250lbs. Guests should be comfortable with heights and walking up about 50 stairs. This tour is not recommended for people who are pregnant, have seizures or recent neck, shoulder or back injuries/surgery. There will be an opportunity to sign a waiver and lock up personal belongings. Participants are encouraged to wear layered clothing and long pants. Closed-toed/closed-heeled shoes are required; sandals or heels are not permitted.
