The Land of Pan
Location: (Unknown) Somewhere In the Bahamas
Time Period of Study/Terrain and Environment
The Land of Pan was founded in around 320 bce by the Greek god Pan. Pan was the god of the wild, hunting and companion of the nymphs. He was also not human instead he was part goat, much like a faun. Pan made his land fertile and very animal friendly except he did not allow humans to live there. It was full of fresh water and had tons of plant-life. The land is mostly made of plains and the occasional hill. The largest hill on The Land of Pan lies near Pan's Garden, it is around 20 feet high and adds some nice shade to the magical garden. There are also many springs full of fresh water. The average temperature of The Land of Pan is around 80 degrees, the temperature doesn't affect anything though as there is a magical spell all around The Land of Pan to keep out all types of weather conditions. This means that fall, winter, summer and spring don't affect them too much. To this day we still cannot find this magical place.
One of the Rare Pictures of Pan
This is one of the rare pictures of Pan which hold his distinct features such as his goat-like horns. In the Land of Pan there are mostly mythical creatures such as fauns and centaurs. One thing is for certain in The Land of Pan, everything lives in harmony.
Pan's Garden
This is Pan's secret garden this is where all of the animals are free to roam without having to fear being hunted. The garden is like an eternal paradise for all living mythical creatures. Pan himself put a magical spell on the garden that would make all animals live in harmony and that the garden could never die.
Pan's Magical Pipes
These are the very pipes Pan used to play except these aren't regular pan pipes; they are actually magical. They appear in many of the stories/myths of Pan and with them he can do magic by playing special songs.
Jobs and Responsibilities
Male Animals and Female Animals
Male animals were responsible for working for the household and also gathering food (of course not hunting because The Land of Pan prevents hunting). Young male animals were responsible for going to school and always doing what their parents said. They would often learn more from their fathers. Female animals were responsible for maintaining the household and managing the kids (if they had any). Young women animals were also responsible for going to school and always listening to their parents. They would often learn more from their mothers.
Government/Religion
In The Land of Pan the government is an indirect democracy, meaning that all the people vote for one leader. The Land of Pan is also one big civilization, it is not divided up into states instead everyone lives together under one government. Every four years they vote for a new leader. The leader is responsible for creating appropriate rules for The Land of Pan. Some rules that have already been created are that you cannot hunt (on The Land of Pan they only eat things that haven't been previously living, excluding plants and fish), no monsters allowed (nothing evil is allowed on The Land of Pan, even if they try to enter the magical barrier will keep them out), no denying the religion. Which brings us to The Land of Pan's religion. Everyone on The Land of Pan believes in one God and also the Greek gods; they are a mix of monotheism and polytheism. They believe the central God is an almighty force and worship him. As for the Greek gods they prefer to think of them as the important helpers of the almighty God, instead of worshiping them though they instead send offerings to them. The Land of Pan believes everyone is important though and treats everyone the same even if they aren't a god.
Famous Leaders
- Pan is the founder of The Land of Pan. He is part goat and part human. He is classified as a faun and uses his magical reed/pan pipes to ward of evil. The civilization is built around his magic and belief system.
- Phoenix is the present day leader of The Land of Pan. He is an actual phoenix and believes very strongly in the beliefs of Pan. He was just recently elected on New Year's Day (which is election day in The Land of Pan).
- Robin Hood is the leader of the militia. Even though The Land of Pan never goes to war, they keep a militia just in case something goes wrong. It is the real Robin Hood, and together him and Pan created a peaceful and safe civilization for all mythical creatures.
Traditional Clothing
In The Land of Pan you are free to wear what you want. Most commonly the clothes are custom fit and are hand sewn, they are usually made from silk. The only regulation on clothes is that it must cover your body from the shoulders to the knees, at least. (not including the hands).
Trademarks
The Land of Pan is very famous for their music, architecture and their education. Their music is often played on the pipes and there is also a rumor that it is magical. The architecture is much like ancient Greece with lots of marble and pillars, except it is also very modern as it also has many beautiful stained glass windows. The education in the Land of Pan is also flawless as there are 6 Universities in total and each person must attend at least 18 years of school before dropping out/graduating. The Land of Pan is most focused on peace though because they are magic. They don't want anyone coming to ruin the peace and harmony so they conceal themselves from the humans and live a peaceful and quiet life.
