Cross Country - Tomorrow
Week 5 Tuesday 31st May - Hokowhitu Park
Dear Family/Whānau
Our annual Cross Country event is upon us.
The results of the cross country tomorrow will be looked at in association with classroom cross country training programmes, when we select representatives for interschool cross country. Children will be selected for this event, based on their overall ability demonstrated throughout training this term. As you can appreciate we are trying to be fair to all learners, including those who have trained all term but will be absent tomorrow due to isolation or illness.
We will all walk to Hokowhitu Park, leaving St James’ school at 12.40pm.
Postponement
If this event is postponed, a message will go out on the School App and on Facebook by 12pm.
Race Schedule
Races will begin at 1pm. We anticipate the event will be completed by 2.30pm
Year 1 and Year 2
Year 3 and Year 4
Year 5 and Year 6
We DO NOT know exact times for year group races.
The whole school will return to school together at the end of the event.
Parent Support Required Please
We would love to see you during this event but please don’t take your child away from their year group as this means they could miss their race.
Please refrain from bringing extra treat food and drinks for your child to this event. Please note if you do take your child/ren home after cross country is finished to please sign your child out.
Learners Require
Come to school in Sports Uniform, bring Jackets, jersey, sports shoes (optional), drink bottle, (all named) and plenty of food (at school). They will take their school bags to this event in case you would like to take your child from the park. The school will be locked until we return.
We look forward to you joining us to support our SAINTS at this event.
Together we make the difference.
