Class Dojo

Many children in our class are ready to turn in Class Dojo points for prizes. Each child has the opportunity to choose to save points up for a larger prize (I will write down the number of points on an index card and hang on to it) or choose to use their points for specific rewards. I then reset the entire class' points.

3) Students also lose 5 Dojo points for each incomplete homework assignment.
*If students forget their study links they are able to print them out from the Everyday Math site. See the math section of my newsletter.

Falcon Four

Cortez Spy Kids are respectful, responsible, safe, positive, learning with their teacher and helping one another.

I give falcon feathers for students who consistently demonstrate our school's pledge in each of these areas. Throughout the day I am vigilantly looking for students who are putting the Falcon Four into practice. Check out Class Dojo to see all the ways your child can earn points.

When a student chooses not to follow our school's Falcon Four they may need to take time to 1) stop and think 2) stop, walk and talk or 3) spend extra time with me catching up on unfinished work during recess.

We LOVE math!!!!

Our focus of study this week will be on rotations, angles and protractors. I will also be meeting with small groups and teaching mini lessons on rounding, estimating, and remainders.
