Valle Verde Elementary

Thank You For All That You Do!

Reminder - Valle Verde Drop Off/Pick Up Schedule

Hello Valle Verde Families,

Distance Learning will continue through Friday, May 29, 2020. Please plan to return all Chromebooks on Friday, May 29, 2020. We thank you for your support to provide continuity, consistency and creativity during the COVID-19 school closure.

We will be collecting textbooks, library books, and musical instruments through May 28, 2020. We have scheduled days for pick up and drop off of materials based on student last names.

Return library books to the boxes outside of the library.

Return all textbooks outside of the office on the table.

Although you may see some staff returning this week, there are limitations on how we can support our families while on campus and the office remains closed at this time. If you need to reach the office staff, they can be reached by email. Debi can be reached at and Tracy can be reached at

The office phone number is 925-939-5700, if you would like to make arrangements to pick up student medications or if you just have questions. We want to adhere to the Phase 2 Shelter In Place Order and social distancing protocols that are in place, while meeting the needs of our community.

Magic Jaquez, instrumental music teacher, will be in room E-2 to receive all instruments that need to be returned.

Student items will be ready for pick up outside of your child’s classroom on the scheduled day. (Please see schedule below)

3rd Trimester Report Cards

Teachers have started emailing report cards to parents. All report cards will include the following commentary, "Schools closed for the 3rd trimester due to the COVID-19 pandemic. NA marks were issued not as a reflection of performance but of the inability to collect the student work necessary to accurately assess due to the unique learning circumstance."

When school resumes, there will be a plan in place to meet students where they are and to provide adequate intervention.

SSC Meeting on Friday at 2:00pm

Pandemic-EBT (P-EBT) Benefits

The State of California will be providing additional nutrition benefits to families who qualify for free/reduced meals—up to $365 (card) for each eligible child. The total amount you will receive will depend on how many eligible children are living in your home.

Who is eligible for Pandemic-EBT (P-EBT) benefits?
Children are eligible for P-EBT benefits if: 1) Their school is closed due to coronavirus (COVID 19); and 2) They are eligible for free or reduced-price school meals.

How do I get P-EBT benefits?
Most families with children who receive CalFresh, Medi-Cal or Foster Care benefits do not need to apply online. They will get their P-EBT card in the mail between May 7 - 22, 2020.
Families with children who are eligible for free or reduced-price meals and who do NOT get CalFresh, Medi-Cal or Foster Care benefits must apply online before June 30, 2020. Applications will be available here, starting on May 22, 2020:
