Our District has created the SCS Responsible Restart Comprehensive Guide - one document in one location outlining our District’s policies and procedures. This document should be used as a guide, allowing you to quickly find answers to your questions. The guide can also be found at

As we have seen throughout the pandemic, factors can change on a daily basis and this Guide will remain adjustable and flexible to respond to state and local health guidelines.

Congratulations to Strongsville High School Seniors Matthew Cornelius and Vardaan Shah for receiving National Merit Scholarships. Recently, the National Merit Foundation announced the list of 96 Ohio students receiving these prestigious scholarships. Matthew and Vardaan join SHS senior Alexandru Sachelari, who was part of an initial announcement of National Merit Scholarship recipients. More than 1.5 million students applied for the highly competitive scholarship, with approximately 7,500 students receiving these highly coveted awards that are financed by corporations, company foundations, and other business organizations.

Mrs. Marna Massa is one of our third grade teachers at Surrarrer Elementary School. Mrs. Massa has worked in our District for 11 years, having also taught 4th grade at Zellers. She has both undergraduate and graduate degrees from State University of New York at Cortland.

“I am so fortunate to be part of Strongsville City Schools! I love working with our third grade students, guiding and helping them while they grow and learn throughout the year. It is so exciting to experience their enthusiasm, creativity, and curiosity while they become compassionate learners, problem solvers, and critical thinkers. I love celebrating successes with each child. The best part of my job is making a difference,” said Mrs. Massa.

“I love our Surrarrer family! I am so lucky to work with an amazing staff that always go above and beyond to support each and every child in our building. We all work together to provide the best educational experiences for our students and their families.”

Thank you Mrs. Massa for all that you do for our third graders at Surrarrer Elementary! #WeAreStrongsville
