Principal's Message
Dear BMS Families,
The third and final trimester of the 2021-22 school year is off to a great start and spring is in the air!
Included below is important information about the upcoming state Forward exam. The Forward exam is an opportunity to get a more complete picture of your child's progress on grade level skills and identify those areas where more support is needed. With that in mind, encourage your child to give their very best effort on the exam. Additionally, please remind your child to get a good night's rest and to eat a healthy breakfast to be best prepared for test days.
As always we appreciate your support,
Mrs. Herrick

Wisconsin Forward Exam
Bloomer Middle School students will take the Forward Exam the week of April 11, 2022
Grades 5, 6 & 7: April 12 & 13
Grade 8: April 12, 13, 14
The Forward Exam tests students in the areas of English Language Arts (ELA), Mathematics, Science and Social Studies. One or more subtests may be administered daily during the identified time frame and it is very important that your son or daughter be in school during this time. Students not in school on the scheduled testing days will be scheduled for a make-up test prior to the close of the testing window.
Students are welcome to bring their own headphones or earbuds for the listening portion of the ELA test. The school will provide headphones for students who do not bring their own.
The Forward Exam measures the knowledge and skills your student(s) should have acquired by the time they reach each grade level. Their performance on the assessment will not affect any of their current grades.
Please encourage your son or daughter to take the test seriously and do the best they can.
