END OF YEAR LPAC
Schedule EOY LPACS!
We must complete EOY LPAC procedures for ALL identified EBs before the end of the school year, so scheduling your LPACs early prevents last-minute meetings. Rushing through the process can lead to missed tasks and documentation errors. EOY LPAC should look at students' progress to make instructional decisions for the new year so they are set up for success from beginning rather than trial and error.
REPORTING EVENTS FOR TESTING
Upcoming Workshops
End of the Year (EOY) LPAC
These sessions will cover information necessary to proceed with EOY LPAC including reclassification criteria, EOY paperwork, and preparing for fall semester. All LPAC members and Bilingual/ESL coordinators are encouraged to attend.
Tuesday, April 30th
Monday, May 6th
Do not wait until after training to set LPAC dates for your campus. Set dates in the school calendar in advance so that all LPAC members have plenty of time to plan and prepare. Scheduling LPACs last minute contributes to rushed LPACs and can lead to errors when completing our tasks.
2 Day ESL Academy Certification Training
This 2-Day training will help teachers prepare for the ESL Supplemental Certification #154. All ten competencies will be covered along with test practice samples.
June 19th and 20th
As a reminder, it is not allowable for a school district that is under a bilingual exception or ESL waiver to use Title III funds for this training. School districts under a bilingual exception or ESL waiver are required to use 10% of its BEA for certification training.
